Pi is thrilled to announce the official start of Pi Hackathon 2025, the very first hackathon in the Open Network era. This is an exciting moment for the Pi community, giving developers the opportunity to build real-world Pi Apps that bring greater utility to millions of everyday Pioneers and users around the world, including those who have never mined Pi. The hackathon starts today and will run until October 15, 2025.
Since registration began last week (August 15):
- 2100+ developers registered for participation from more than 100 countries and regions;
- 900+ developers are still looking for teammates.
With 160,000 Pi in total rewards, this hackathon is designed to spark innovation, collaboration, and creativity. Whether you’re an experienced builder or just starting out, this is your chance to make a lasting impact on the Pi ecosystem by creating apps that solve real problems and expand everyday use cases for Pi. Participants can use Pi App Studio to easily create apps and rapidly iterate, and can also use the Brainstorm app in the Pi Browser to share their prototypes, connect with others, and increase visibility within the Pi community.
