Auction Domain Name Issuance Disclosure and Policy
1. Compliance with Industry Standards
Pi Network (“Issuer”) follows recognized industry standards and best practices in the issuance of domain names. Domain names are issued through a submission and auction basis and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies governing domain name registration. This means that the submitting participant may designate the domain they are seeking to register, and once submitted, community members, including the submitter, may bid on the domain name with the highest bidder obtaining the right register the domain name as their own.
2. Appeals Process for Trademark Holders
If a trademark holder believes that a registered domain name infringes upon their rights or constitutes domain squatting, they may file an appeal with Issuer through our designated dispute resolution process. Appeals will be reviewed in accordance with applicable dispute resolution policies, including but not limited to the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) or other industry-standard mechanisms.
3. Right to Reclaim or Seize Domain Names
Issuer retains the right, at its sole discretion, to seize, suspend, or cancel a registered domain name in cases of clear and intentional trademark infringement, bad-faith registration, or violation of applicable domain name policies. Such action may be taken upon receipt of a valid legal order, through dispute resolution proceedings, or where Issuer determines that the registration was obtained in bad faith to exploit or infringe upon another party’s legal rights.
4. Disclaimer of Claims Against Issuer
Issuer provides domain name registration services “as is” and makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the availability, use, or legal status of any registered domain name. By registering a domain name, the registrant acknowledges that Issuer is not liable for any loss, claim, or dispute arising from domain name registration, use, or enforcement actions taken by third parties.
5. Indemnification
The registrant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Issuer, its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, or costs (including legal fees) arising from the registration or use of the domain name, including but not limited to claims of trademark infringement, defamation, or other rights violations.
By proceeding with the registration of a domain name, the registrant acknowledges and agrees to abide by the terms set forth in this Disclosure and Policy.
